What Is the Recovery Process for BodyTite?

BodyTite is a procedure that tightens up skin and dissolves fat using radiofrequency (RF) energy. Bodytite is similar to liposuction in that it removes fat, but it also improves skin tightness at the same time, which can be a saggy after excessive weight loss.

As a minimally invasive procedure, you may be wondering how to prepare for surgery or what to expect afterwards. We will walk you through every step to make you feel comfortable in your healing process.

Patients can typically drive themselves home after the surgery. Recovery will vary between each individual patient and how much fat was removed.

There will be some swelling and bruising on the site for about a week, but that should start to dissipate relatively quickly.

Because the thermal energy technique makes fat cells easier to destroy, the recovery is generally speedier than a typical liposuction. Most people are able to return to normal activities after a week. But, it is advisable to wait four to six weeks to do any vigorous or strenuous movement.

A compression garment may be recommended for about a month or two procedure depending on the extent of the treated area. The garment helps to reduce swelling and keep your skin smooth.

After the first four to six weeks pass, most swelling will go down.

The final, full results will be seen after three to six months. You will notice a slimmer, more toned figure in the mirror. To keep these results long term we recommend maintaining your weight through a healthy diet and regular exercise.
