What’s the Difference Between a Butt Lift and a BBL?

Everyone loves a round, firm derrière. Some people are naturally blessed in the way that they carry fat, but others may have to work harder to achieve their desired look. There are two main ways you can get a larger, shapelier butt and they are a butt lift and a Brazilian butt lift (BBL).

But what is the difference between the two? Keep reading below to find out the distinction.

A BBL is popular procedure done to enlarge the buttocks. A fat transfer from your own body is used so there is no risk for rejection, unlike a butt lift which usually uses silicon products. A BBL includes the liposuction of fat from surrounding areas such as your stomach, waist, and thighs to create a curvier and slimmer silhouette. This combination of liposuction and fat redistribution results in an even perkier butt. BBLs have long-lasting results that may not be fully apparent until about six months after the procedure.

A standard butt lift is typically best for people who don’t already have significant fat deposits. If you do have enough fat, a Brazilian butt lift may be the way. The recovery process is similar for both procedures and will require you to not sit or lay on your back for at least 3 to 4 weeks.

Both of these procedures may be done in conjunction with a tummy tuck.
