Brow Lift

Candidates

Candidates for this procedure are patients who have a low, sagging brow or brow asymmetry. A brow lift can be done alone or in conjunction with other facial procedures, such as eyelid surgery or a face lift.

Dr. Quintero aims to provide patients with natural results that fit their goals; enhancing the already beautiful you.

Procedure Steps

A brow lift is an out-patient procedure, you will return home that same day.

The procedure involves removing or altering the target muscles and tissues, tightening the forehead skin resulting in a smooth front, raised eyebrows, and a more youthful and animated appearance. Dr. Quintero most frequently performs this surgery with the use of an endoscope, a viewing instrument that allows the procedure to be done with minimal small incisions.

Safety Preparations & Risk

In order to perform a brow lift procedure, a patient must be up to date on their physical exam. We also ask that patients stop certain medications and all nicotine products. Dr. Quintero would like for patients to follow these recommendations for a better healing and recovery process.

The risks of brow lift surgery include:

  • Scarring
  • Changes in skin sensation
  • Asymmetry in the position of the brows
  • Hair problems

Recovery

After a brow lift, your forehead might be loosely wrapped to minimize swelling. A small tube might be placed along the incision to drain any excess blood or fluid. Dr. Quintero will give you specific instructions on how to care for your incisions. If your incisions are covered in bandages, Dr. Quintero will likely remove them in 1 to 3 days. Sutures typically will be removed within 7 to 10 days of surgery.
