EMSculpt is also an effective treatment for post-partum diastasis or separation of the abdominal rectus muscles. This procedure cannot be performed on patients who have had a hernia mesh repair, have metal hardware in the treatment area, metal IUDs or are pregnant.
What Does the EMSculpt Treatment Feel Like?
During your EMSculpt treatment, a trained technician will apply one or two EmSculpt paddles to the treatment area while you lie comfortably. The paddle(s) deliver an electromagnetic energy directly to your muscles, prompting them to powerfully contract. There is no pain and patients begin to adjust to the strong contractions as the intensity of the treatment increases over 30 mins. During the treatment, the muscles respond with supra maximal contractions resulting in a deep remodeling of its inner structure resulting in muscle building and fat burning.
Treatments and Results:
Initial clinical studies were performed with two 30-mintute treatments a week for two weeks. However, a treatment plan will be designed based upon your aesthetic goal. A maintenance plan may be beneficial as well. Nonsurgical body contouring treatment results typically appear gradually. Patients may see initial results after the last of the four-treatment session however, patients continue to improve over the course of several months following the last treatment.
