Candidates
Candidates are patients who have been diagnosed with hyperhidrosis and are looking to correct the symptoms.
Dr. Quintero aims to provide patients with natural results that fit their goals; enhancing the already beautiful you.
Procedure Steps
Treatment for hyperhidrosis can be performed in-office with no downtime. The treatment plan for each patient can be tailored to their unique symptom areas. Generally speaking, the treatment plan is a combination of botulinum toxin (botox) injections and Morpheus8. For severe cases, sweat gland removal can be considered in some areas.
Safety Preparation & Risk
Sometimes hyperhidrosis can be connected to other illnesses. Therefore, we ask a patient to be up to date on their physical exam. We also ask that patients stop certain medications and all nicotine products. Dr. Quintero would like for patients to follow these recommendations for a better healing and recovery process.
The risks of hyperhidrosis treatments include:
- Temporary redness
- Light swelling
- Dry, flaky skin
- More serious complications are rare, although pain, blisters, scarring, and areas of hyperpigmentation can occur.
Recovery
Some patients experience slight redness or swelling, but typically subside within a day or two after treatment. Hyperhidrosis treatment results can take some time to appear. The most noticeable results can occur after three weeks with continually improvements for about three months. Every patient is different and has their own unique concerns and goals. Majority of patients undergo a series of three treatments for best results.
